Our Owner-Dr. Amelia Kenyon

DNP, MSN, BSN, RN, CDP, CADDCT, CIP

Dr. Amelia M. Kenyon is a doctorally prepared Registered Nurse with nearly two decades of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, dementia care, hospice, and post-acute healthcare. She understands what appropriate care should look like—and how difficult it can be for families to recognize when a loved one’s needs are not being met.

As the founder of DRK Consulting LLC, Dr. Kenyon provides independent, nurse-led care oversight and guidance for families caring for aging loved ones. She helps families understand changes in condition, evaluate care concerns, prepare for care-plan meetings, communicate more effectively with providers, and make informed decisions about home care, assisted living, memory care, and nursing-home placement.

Dr. Kenyon has extensive exp

erience supporting individuals living with dementia and the families who care for them. She is the developer of THE LISTEN METHOD™, a practical, person-centered framework that helps families better understand dementia-related behaviors, improve communication, reduce frustration, and respond more effectively to changing care needs.

Through DRK Consulting, Dr. Kenyon serves as an experienced and independent advocate for families—providing clarity, honest guidance, and professional oversight when the care of a loved one becomes complicated.
